Everything was going according to plan. The look in her eyes was unmistakeable. The she-wolf might think that she was bucking him, rebelling, but in truth there was defeat. He could taste it in her breath, feel it in her body. As he moved to take her muzzle, she released him: more weakness, more to exploit. It was not control that stopped her from killing him, it was fear. The Alpha would not appreciate such a large percentage of the pack being killed by her own. On top of that, Vivian would lose whatever hope she had of being the Alpha's house pet...
She shook off his teeth, and he kept his muzzle close to hers regardless, jaws wide and practically drooling. He loved that smell of desperation on her, he loved knowing that he was ruling her, mentally, emotionally, physically. Zorn's teeth grazed her whiskers, and he loved the way they twitched reflexively. "I will not submit to you, Zorn... and your mind games will no longer work," she told him, and he couldn't lower himself enough to believe her. Oh yes, she would submit... The hunger in his heart wouldn't let anything else happen.
She forced herself into a roll and his paws jolted. He threw them into the snow by her body, still straddling her but no longer pinning her down. He snarled, trying to get himself to weigh her down yet again, but her fangs snapped up. He caught them this time, teeth scraping against teeth, and while hers took the top half of his muzzle, his aligned with her lower jaw, locked like the gaping teeth of a bear trap.
Good thing Zorn knew how to release them.
A paw found her fur - though he couldn't see where - and he made sure to press down hard again, this time setting his hind legs in a more stable position on each side of her body. Her teeth depressed his muzzle and it was horribly painful, but he forced his head forward again, gripping hard, towards the snow. He would keep her down. The male found it difficult to speak, but he somehow managed. "Are you afraid to lose because you can't be the Alpha's pet? Are you afraid to look weak before her? Afraid she won't let you tail her like the pup you are?" His growl was like thunder in his throat, so developed after so many years alone, and he continued forcing her down, ever down, forcing her into the snow.

With his teeth crushing against her own and his delicious blood flowing into her mouth she could almost purr...There was something so intoxicating about blood....especially that of another wolf.....Especially Zorn's. He always seemed to think he was superior to her...refusing to even fight her in the first place...and now...now he thought he could just dominate her...No...no. She clenched down harder, feeling his own teeth settling into her chin....A large paw pressed down on her stomach, that in culmination with the words he said next made her physically sick. She wretched away from him, bile building in her throat as his words filled her head....was she really such a pest?....were her feelings for Zealot making her act like a fool? And then it came like a tide, rolling over onto her side just in time as the flow burst from her maw. She coughed, tears springing to her golden eyes. "Shut up! Just shut the hell up!" She gagged before another spray burst from her maw...It hurt...she felt like everything in her body just poured out...all her emotions....her rage..her energy...everything. She was spent. Gasping for breath she didn't even try to stand...with blood flowing from various small punctures on her face and her golden eyes wide open she almost seemed to be in shock.....She could take the physical pain.....she even liked it a bit....But mental teasing....she had no defense....Even after declaring that she would not fall to his games she fell right back in...But even now she would not tuck her tail....he would have to kill her first...
"Just....shut...up." She weakly mumbled against the snow covered earth, her voice full of ragged edges.

The alpha female of the Scarlet Pack stood as she was, watching two of her pack members tear into each other. Her face remained impassive as ever, no hint of emotion in the silver glint of her eyes. This was a desperate battle for both. Neither could stand being beneath the other, but they knew better than to severely injure a pack mate. So much was at stake in this battle. Zealot's muzzle contorted, lips twitching in the beginnings of a snarl, as they grasped each others muzzles and squeezed. Her legs tensed as she prepared to step in, to stop them before they did more than just scuffle. Then Zorn's words hit home, causing Vivian to wretch, physically and mentally. The silver wolf pressed her face into the dirt, still uttering words of defiance, even when she was so clearly beaten. Zorn was smart, he had found Vivian's weakness and played it. Any wolf who could not control their emotions belonged at the bottom of the pack. Only the strong, in body and in mind, could dominate.
Zealot finally stepped forward. Or bounded, rather. She bowled straight into Zorn, meaning to move him off of Vivian. She looked down at the female without sympathy. Moving to stand between them, the alpha stiffened her tail, body tense. "Zorn, you have won this dispute." Her words were just that, a sentence. Though she could not make sense of what exactly had set Vivian off, ultimately bringing about her downfall, she knew a more dominant wolf when she saw one. She also knew a fool. Zealot rounded on Vivian. "Vivian. You would do well to tuck your tail when you are defeated." The alpha remained between them for a moment longer, simply to remind them that even though one had just come out on top, she still trumped both. That moment passed and she moved away, padding in the direction of the den. Her shoulders were more relaxed with the dispute finally settled. Even if Vivian would continue to fight, Zorn had won. Until the silver female got a grip on her emotions, she would never beat the male.
NOTES. man, talk about intense! that fight was awesome! you two are such great writers. Zealot is going to take her leave, but that doesn't mean that Zorn can't go ahead and rough Vivian up to put her in her place :P |

That was all he needed. As soon as she wrenched away from him, he felt a sensation flow through him that forced his fur to stand on end. The pleasure peaked and he shuddered, nerve endings alight and internal hunger sated. He felt himself slowly relax, shedding that desperate mindset. He had his power, he dominated. There was no reason not to return to normal. The bile on the snow was acid to his nostrils, but Zorn couldn't move for a moment. He had to prove to the female that he was dominant, even if it meant standing over her in her weakest moment.
She was done. Zorn shifted so he no longer stood atop her, but instead still straddled her. He lowered his nose, which was still in a decent amount of pain, and moved to gently nudge her. But then came the Alpha, barreling into him, and it took him only a second to realize that she wasn't in the mood to play. He allowed himself to be shoved, feeling surprisingly heavy and slow after the battle, and his head bowed in respect to the Alpha. The male's tail was low and its tip swept the ice in active submission. "Zorn, you have won this dispute," she intoned, and her words gave him pleasure. She was not stepping in to protect Vivian - that was for sure. Still, he wasn't sure if his words had earned him a punishment. Already he was forgetting what he'd told Vivian, forgetting what exactly had set her off.
She spoke to Vivian, though Zorn chose not to listen. What she said to other pack members was none of his concern. The Alpha then looked his way, looked over at his hunched shoulders and flattened ears. He expected punishment. But then... She left.
It was over.
He waited until the Alpha moved out of sight before taking his place back over Vivian, taking care not to step in the hot bile. He looked down on her, not with pity, but simply as a superior. He had won, and Vivian would respect that... And at the same time, Zorn felt like he'd done something wrong. His own words began to vanish from his memory, swept away with his craving for power. He didn't want an ongoing dispute with a fellow pack member, one who proved herself to be strong, agile, capable.
He lowered his head once again and licked her cheek. It held an apology, but a resoluteness. It secured his place as the dominant being, along with his stance over her prone form. "You are strong." But he didn't know how she'd react to this, whether kindly or with rage, and he couldn't remember what had set her off mentally. He knew that the female was enamored with their Alpha, that much was sure. But had he really turned her feelings into claws to wreck her?
He moved off of Vivian, and with his head now high, he chose not to look back. Instead, he followed his Alpha home.

The loss was unbearable.....the cold words from Zealot stung....and Zorn's almost kind statement made her skin crawl......She was not strong....had she been she would have defeated him. She waited until their footsteps faded into the sounds of the frozen forest before she pulled herself to her feet....She was not badly injured....flesh wounds riddled her face, and puncture wounds from his teeth marred her bottom jaw....But she had been in worse pain than this before....Just not mentally. With an angry toss of her head she sent blood flying in all directions, tiny droplets clinging to frozen leaves and tree trunks. Scooting away from her shameful display she took a mouthful of clean snow into her mouth to try to get the bitter taste of failure out. She was weak now......weakened by her own feelings...this was the very reason she had been taught not to have them....they were a liability...and she needed to get them back in check. Stifling a groan she slowly began to follow the trail of her superiors, her pride burning with each followed step.
(((annnnnnd done ^_^)
