In the aftermath of the alien invasion, Stark Industries has collaborated with
the United States government to create the Office of National Emergency,
also known as O*N*E. With mutants having been revealed to the world,
Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr have stepped forward to create
Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, offering a safe haven for those
mutants too scared to remain out in the world or those who were kicked to
the streets. The clean-up of New York continues, but in the shadows comes
HYDRA, long thought to have been defeated.
