i'm sending you away tonight, put you on a bird's strong wing
and i forget, how fragile are the very strong
Zelda has never had to 'try' to live up to her name. Instead, her name lives up to her.
Zelda is a strong female. She's not only strong in her beliefs, but she's also strong in enforcing them. This female has a talent of keeping a large group of canines in order. She demands respect and won't accept anything less, but she doesn't rule by fear or strength. If a pup gets out of line, of course she will turn around and show them her place, but that doesn't mean she will murder someone just for having doubts. She does keep a shred or respect in the back of her mind for her pack, and she's always been proud to have them, whether she's alpha or not.
With that said, this bitch is quite a dominating girl which can make it difficult for her to live in a pack she does not rule. She may throw out a few challenges for the alpha spot, but she doesn't disrespect her alpha without tons of thought to back up her reasoning. With that said, she does have those days where she is in no mood to listen to authority. And, if she's not up for dealing with a nagging alpha, she's not afraid to stand up for herself. It's all she known, taking care of herself.
The female won't go looking for a fight, but she definitely won't back down from a challenge which has given her a few scars over the years. She does tend to have issues with her pride and giving in to the submissive part of her personality, which will make it quite difficult for her to find a mate unless her mate would be willing to either submit to her or at least let her lead beside them. Sure, it's possible if you break her spirit, but it won't be an easy task.
She is, over all, a friendly dog when she's not being serious which isn't often. She may hold herself to a high standard and not allow anything less than what she wants, but she's not a horrible dog. And she may not back down from a fight, but that doesn't mean she is violent. She fights for peace and to settle differences. Nothing about that will ever change. And as long as it's the appropriate thing to do, in her mind at least, she'll do it. With or without back up.
With that said, I think it's safe that, over the years, Zelda has developed her own set of balls. She may make irrational choices in the heat of the moment and she may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but she certainly gets the job done. And she's not afraid to do what others aren't willing to. Stand up for the peace they deserve.

[/center]
It was quite a cold morning. The sun was just beginning to creep over the horizon, spreading it's light across the land in a Picasso of oranges, yellows, and a few hints of light greens. The female gave a slight yawn, her eyes beginning to drift closed as she took in the warmth of the sun. She could already tell she would miss the sun when snow storms began to roll in, but she never let that slow her down in thanking the sun, each and every day, for the warmth it brought to the lands. Soon, the pack would begin to emerge from their slumber and everyone would be wondering what was for breakfast.
Though she was brought down with a little bit of a need for sleep, the female was trying to pick up the pace. She needed to gather the hunters. She strolled into town with her tail high in the air, proudly displaying her dominance to any of the members who were just beginning to wake up. She tore into the factory, taking care not to step on any of the rubble that lay freely scattered across the floor. One of these days, the female thought, I will have that taken care of. This place deserves more respect.
A few of the members in Miri were in here, comfortably spread out from a long night of stretching in their sleep. Zelda had never really minded pups sleeping in the heartland of her territory. In fact, she welcomed it. And she was greatly disappointed when she figured out they would have to find some place else to tie down the fort when storms would begin to blow through. Turning her mind back to her business, the tan and white dog danced across the floor in a frenzy to find Lucky, one of the many canines who helped make sure the hunts went smoothly.
The female finally found the dog sprawled on his back, legs shamelessly dangling in the air as he snored. It was a quirk the alpha found to be amusing. She's never met a dog that snored, let alone a dog like Lucky period. You see, Lucky had been a human's pet, though he always told his tail saying he started out a stray. Anyway, one day when he was out looking for a meal in some dumpsters, he was caught by animal control and taken into a shelter. Needless to say, the poor mutt was 'snipped' without a second thought.
Though Zelda did pity him, she also found herself quite taken back at how much Lucky hadn't let that hold him back. He'd made a name for himself that wasn't just 'the dog that got snipped'. Which had made Zelda greatly respect and appreciate his help around the pack. The female hesitated in waking the snoring pooch, though she knew if she wanted her pack to eat it had to be done. "Lucky get up," she spoke, trying not to wake anyone but the black dog laying before her. When he didn't respond, she rolled her eyes. She was going to have to do this another way.
The female gingerly shook herself, preping to do what she always had to do when the time came to wake Lucky, "Honestly, I'm not even sure why I try to wake him the nice way." With that said, the female turned so her rear faced the dog, and kicked him with as much force as she could muster. The black did not yelp, or cower, or bite back. Instead he groggily looked at Zelda, as if she were crazy. He got to his feet and Zelda spun around a sat, "It's time, gather the hunting party."
The mutt nodded, "Yes ma'am. and began to waddle off as if he were drunk and unstable. The female smiled to herself. No matter how imperfect her life was, or how hard the pack was on her, she would forever love and protect it. And that was a vow the female was unwilling to break.
