Twelve years ago (in 1884), a mysterious man by the name of Andrew Prior purchased an abandoned and run down castle in
Hollybrook, Pennsylvania. The castle was rumored to be haunted, but Mr. Prior laughed off the reputation and put a great
deal of effort into the restoration of the site. Over the next two years, he rebuilt the walls, and installed windows where
there had been none. By the time that he was finished, the castle was gleaming and ready for whatever he had planned.
As it happens, Andrew Prior had planned for a boys' boarding school. An entire wing of the castle had been designated for
residential students, another for the classrooms and learning areas. He hired the best staff to be found across the 42
United States of America. Once they had been installed, with a new Headmaster (James Bronson), Andrew Prior simply...
disappeared.
Following the disappearance of the school's founder, he was never seen again. Although foul play was suspected, no body was
ever discovered. The rumors of haunting were nothing compared to the rumors of what had happened to Andrew Prior, however.
While there are still those who claim that there are nights when their rooms are more drafty and colder than normal, and
those who have claimed to see mysterious figures that appear to have been from another time, the real mystery is "What
happened to Andrew Prior?"
It is now 1896, twelve years after the disappearance of the Academy's founder. Most of the students have forgotten about
him, but as they go bustling about their daily activities (taking care of school work, practicing rugby or lacrosse,
socializing with friends or even going into town) there are still those who claim to see things that cannot be explained.
Professor Bronson continues to reassure the students that there is no such thing as ghosts, but some are suspecting that he
has, himself, seen some rather strange things in his day.
Things are beginning to change. The Civil War is becoming a memory, the slaves have been freed, and the world is no longer
what it once was. But violence is about to erupt in Hollybrook. Some students might not make it out of this year alive. And
some may just come back to haunt the halls of the school that saw their end.
